Clocks for a kid's room

A first alarm clock does two jobs: it gets a child up, and it keeps the phone out of the room. The night-light models give a soft glow that beats a hallway door left open, the RGB versions let the digits match the room, which is the feature kids actually care about.

Buttons matter more than features. Our small clocks set with two buttons, and the alarm switch is a real switch a seven-year-old can find in the dark. Volume adjusts down for small rooms.

These are plug-in clocks: batteries only protect the settings. Put the cord behind the furniture and the clock stays where it was put.
