Editorial policy

Specs come from the product and its stated features. Pages say what a model cannot do, no weekend alarm, no display on battery, with the same weight as what it can.

Amazon star ratings and counts are quoted as Amazon's numbers with the date we read them, in plain text. We do not put third-party ratings into structured markup, and we have no rating system of our own.

Guides are written by Ray Calder, the pen name under which this site's guides are produced, the same paragraph about him appears on every guide. Nothing in the guides claims credentials, certificates or a history that does not exist.

Price updates run on a schedule, and one page carries the date of the latest run.
